Gut and Hormones MOT - Sunday 12.15 The Zen Den - Classroom on the Terrace
We are The Nutrition Detectives, and during our talk we will discuss how we use functional medicine to assess and support digestive health and hormonal balance. This program is called the 5R program, Remove, Replace, Re-inoculate, Repair and Retained.
Bloating, abdominal pain, constipation or diarrhoea, heartburn, and lack of energy are just some of the indications that your digestion needs support with. These symptoms can have a systemic effect on the entire body, leading to chronic fatigue, hormonal imbalances, autoimmune diseases such as Rheumatoid Arthritis and Hashimoto’s Thyroiditis, diabetes, fibromyalgia, anxiety, depression, eczema, migraines and many more.
Digestion that is working under par can have an immediate impact on our hormones. This can result in blood sugar imbalances, pre-menstrual symptoms, the feeling of stress and anxiety being exacerbated and a general feeling of malaise.
The tools we use are kinesiology together with nutritional therapy to encourage the body to be as healthy as possible. We use the technique of muscle testing for our natural health testing and biochemistry sessions, which allows us to do a full MOT and target specific ailments. It is a diagnostic technique using basic muscle testing that enables us to identify areas of dysfunction within the body as a whole. During the talk we will demonstrate how this works and ask for volunteers for this.
